Rental guides
The steps from finding a property to managing your tenancy.
Looking for a rental
- Find a property. Browse properties and narrow your search by location, property type, price, and the details that matter to you. Check the price period and what is included.
- Ask questions or arrange a viewing. Use the options available on the listing. An enquiry shares your contact details with the lister so they can reach you; it is not a reservation or rental application.
- Submit an application. If the property accepts applications, open its application form and provide the requested information. Track the outcome under My properties in your dashboard.
- Review the agreement. Check the dates, rent, deposit, responsibilities, and payment instructions with the lister before signing or paying. An approved application does not replace a signed agreement.
- Manage your tenancy. Use My properties to view your lease and submit maintenance requests where available. Check proposed changes to dates or rent before accepting them.
Managing a rental property
- Create the listing. Start a listing, choose the correct property and listing types, and add accurate pricing, location, features, and photos.
- Review interest. Open the property in your lister dashboard to view enquiries, viewing requests, and rental applications. Contact applicants using the details they shared.
- Manage the lease. Once a tenancy agreement exists, open Lease agreement to upload the signed PDF and manage its dates and rent. Enter these details separately; uploading a PDF does not fill them in automatically.
- Keep records current. Review maintenance requests, documents, and relevant property activity from the same workspace.
Payments and safety
On the platform-fee-only path, rent, deposits, and other property charges are paid directly to the lister. Enlistr does not hold those amounts. Check any Enlistr fee shown before confirming an action.
Verify the property and the person you are dealing with before paying. See Trust & safety, Help, or contact support if you need assistance.
